MEET THE MUSE : BRIDIE GOOLD

Model, student and ultimate White November Muse, Bridie Goold is the epitome of effortless chic. Fronting our latest ‘Astral Orbit’ campaign, WN chats to Bridie about life, modelling and all things jewellery. 

Do you see yourself continuing modelling or have any other avenues you want to explore or are passionate about?

I don’t see myself modelling forever, it’s certainly fun and I’m very lucky for the opportunity, but it’s not my passion. I want to keep studying. I love psychology and linguistics so I can definitely see myself in one of these two paths. 

WN is influenced by celestial, galactic themes, how would you describe your style and approach to fashion and who/what do you draw inspiration from?

I love White November’s style! I also love suns and stars and wearing clothes and jewellery that feature them. I’d describe my style as vintage, a mix of mainly 60s and 90s. All of my clothes are from op shops, so I change style each day. I draw inspiration from the small details: a high collar, a colour coordinated hair elastic, or a sentimental scarf. I enjoy playing with details of daintiness and subtlety to acknowledge my more reserved side, even if no one else picks up on them. Dressing is a fun exercise of the imagination and I appreciate the routine game it offers each day.

If you could pick one piece from the Astral Orbit collection, what would it be and why?

I adore the Apollo pendant. I wear it constantly and it always brightens my day. 

When it comes to jewellery are you more about fine layering or one stand out piece?

Fine layering with delicate silver pieces. 

WN is inspired by travel, what is one place you are dying to see and one place you can’t wait to go back to?

I’d love to go back to Turkey some day, and I really want to go to Broome, WA.  

What was the best thing about being on the WN set or something that has stayed with you?

How kind everyone was to me and each other. I haven’t worked on such a welcoming, kind set before so it was really special. Bianca and her friends have such a warm and gentle nature. 

What is one quote you live by?

‘If I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. Because if it isn't there, I never really lost it to begin with.’  I’ve analysed this quote since I was a little girl, and it takes on different meanings at different stages of my life. I don’t think these meanings are always as Dorothy’s character intended, ha!
